asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if there are any site investigations currently being undertaken with a view to the possible storage of low, intermediate or high-level nuclear waste at Yelland power station on the Yaw estuary.

No site investigatons are being undertaken in connection with the storage of nuclear waste at East Yelland power station. So far as the development of disposal facilities for radioactive waste is concerned, I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave the hon. Member for Yeovil (Mr. Ashdown) on 25 April at column 548.
