asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the average number of microcomputers in primary schools and secondary schools; and how many schools do not yet have a computer.

I understand that, in the maintained sector, there are on average about 10 microcomputers per secondary school and about 1ยท5 micros per primary school. Only a very few maintained schools do not have a microcomputer.
