asked the Secretary of State for Defence if the current estimate of Trident costs involve purchasing fewer D-5 missiles from the United States of America than the original costing of 1982.

It has been a long-standing practice, for security reasons, not to comment on the number of strategic missiles being purchased from the United States of America.
