asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what studies he has made of the environmental and economic consequences of intensive farming.

A large proportion of individual studies within my Department's programme for research and development provide information relevant to a wide range of farm types and farming systems. Information on all these R and D studies is available in my Department's annual report on research and development which is available in the Library of the House.
