asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he is satisfied with the amount of time it takes for the Intervention Board for Agricultural Payments to refund export payments under the common agricultural policy.

The board normally pays export refunds within four weeks, a similar time scale to general commercial practice. Regrettably there have been delays recently in the beef sector but these are being overcome.
