asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the total number of prosecutions for (i) possession and (ii) supply of the drugs (a) heroin, (b) cocaine, (c) cannabis, (d) amphetamines and (e) L.S.D. for the years 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1984, respectively.

The information requested for 1980 to 1983 is given in the following table; information for 1984 is not yet available.
