17.

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he has any plans to discuss the timekeeping of trains on the St. Pancras-Sheffield line with the chairman of the British Railways Board.

Responsibility for the punctuality of services on individual lines lies with the British Rail. However, my right hon. Friend and the chairman have discussed train punctuality and the chairman has described the measures the board is taking to achieve the punctuality standards the board has set. If the hon.
