Mr. Austin Mitchell
asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many of the recommendations for change made by the last Royal Commission on legal services in Scotland have been implemented to date.
Mr. Ancram
The report of the Royal Commission contained over 200 recommendations, many of which did not call for Government action. The Government have already taken and announced decisions on many of the recommendations addressed to them and will make any further announcement on matters covered by the report in due course.
