asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is (a) the total of redundancy payments made to employees by their employers, or direct from the redundancy fund, under the terms of the Employment Protection Act and (b) the amounts paid from the redundancy fund in rebates to employers and direct payments to employees, in 1981 and the current year, to date.
