asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is satisfied that the external financing limits of the Anglian water authority are adequate to enable the water and sewage infrastructure necessary to support the projected growth in housing and commercial developments to be provided; and if he will make a statement.

Yes. Anglian Water's 1985–86 external financing limit was set taking into account the authority's 1984 plan estimates of the investment needed to meet new demand, and later estimates are lower. The 1986–87 external financing limit will not be settled before late this autumn.
