asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he still expects that the public spending targets contained in the "Autumn Statement" will be met.

The 1984 "Autumn Statement" summarised the Government's public expenditure plans for 1985–86, and these were later detailed in Cmnd. 9428. The public expenditure planning total for that year was subsequently increased at the time of the Budget to £134·2 billion by the addition of £2 billion to the Reserve. I consider this total to be realistic.
