asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will make available the statistics for cases of fat cow syndrome and ragwort poisoning among dairy cattle from 1979 to 1986 inclusive in (a) the United Kingdom, (b) Scotland and (c) the Central region;(2) if he will make available the cases of death among dairy cattle from fat cow syndrome and ragwort poisoning from 1975 to 1986 inclusive in

(a) the United Kingdom, (b) Scotland and (c) the Central region.

Neither fat cow syndrome nor ragwort poisoning is a notifiable ailment. Statistics on such cases are not, therefore, available.
