At 31 March 1986, the latest date for which figures are available centrally, there were a total of 673,107 patients on the inpatient waiting list for admission to National Health Service hospitals in England compared with 752,422 on 31 March 1979, a reduction of 10·5 per cent.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the present number of people waiting for hospital treatment in the Wandsworth health authority and the number that have been waiting for more than six months, more than one year and more than two years.
