asked the Secretary of State for Transport what recent representations he has received concerning the London docklands light railway.

I visited the Beckton area, which would be served by the proposed eastern extension of the railway, on 14 January to meet representatives of the local residents association and of the London Docklands development corporation. We have also received written representations from time to time about possible extensions to the railway, the most recent being from the London borough of Barking.
