Mr. Tom Cox
asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what assessment he had made of the likely contribution from the farming industry to Food from Britain.
Mr. Gummer
Food from Britain has drawn up a marketing budget of £4·3 million for 1987–88. The Government will contribute £2·1 million and the food and agriculture industries the remainder. I anticipate that contributions from the various agricultural sectors will total about £1·7 million.
