23.

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what is the transport supplementary grant allocation for the city of Bradford metropolitan council for 1987–88.

Bradford will receive £4,579,000 of transport supplementary grant for 1987–88. This is an increase of 38 per cent. over 1986–87. This substantial total reflects delivery of our commitment to maintain support for the construction of the city ring road with which the city council is making good progress.
