Our relations with Oman are excellent. I visited Oman from 26 February to 1 March, and met His Majesty the Sultan and several of his Ministers. While in Oman I led the British side at the annual meeting of the Anglo-Omani joint commission.The Prince and Princess of Wales made a highly successful visit to Oman last November. Exercise Saif Sareea, a joint military exercise held in Oman from 16 November to 8 December, was a further illustration of the continuing close ties between the two countries.
