asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he now proposes to make any changes in the factors used to compile local authority grant-related expenditure assessement.

Grant-related expenditure assessments (GREAs) for 1987–88 were approved by the House on 25 March. We have begun consultation with the local authority associations and preliminary work on the 1988–89 GREAs.
