asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on operational liaison between the Royal Ulster Constabulary and the Strathclyde police concerning antiterrorist activities.

I know that the Royal Ulster Constabulary and the Strathclyde police maintain a close operational liaison on matters of mutual interest, including terrorism. These matters are, of course, confidential to the two forces.
