asked the Paymaster General what was the total number of people benefiting from special employment and training measures at the latest available date in the constituency of Bury, North; and what is the average cost per person under each.

In addition, in the area including Bury, Prestwich and Radcliffe up to 31 March 1987, 1,035 people started YTS training and in Bury, 562 people started adult training courses. The gross cost per filled place for YTS in 1986–87 is estimated to be £2,600. Similar information for adult training is not available.
