asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the total amount of food, by commodity, and wine exported from the European Economic Community to the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, respectively, in the most recent annual period for which figures are available; and what were the comparable figures in the comparable annual period 10 and 15 years previously.

The information requested for 1976 and 1986 is set out in the table. Comparable information is not readily available for years prior to 1976.
