Quarantine Kennels

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the enforcement of the rule that no quarantine kennels should be left unattended at any time.

The statutory rabies controls do not require that approved quarantine premises should be constantly attended. However conditions of authorization require the premises to be secure at all times and that certain welfare standards are met under the regular supervision of a registered veterinary surgeon.
