I refer the right hon. Member to the reply given earlier today to the hon. Member for Battersea (Mr. Dubs) by my hon. Friend the Economic Secretary.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what were total value added tax revenues in 1985–86; and what is the latest estimated outturn for 1986–87.

VAT revenue for 1985–86 was £19,331·4 million. The latest estimate for 1986–87 is £21,500 million.
