asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimates he has made of the effect of the Budget on the latest level of unemployment.

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received regarding his estimate of the effect of his Budget measures on the level of unemployment in Britain.

Unemployment has fallen by 180,000 over the past eight months and my right hon. Friend's Budget will maintain the conditions which enabled this welcome fall to occur.
