asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any guidance has been given to Inland Revenue staff about handling requests from Ministers for advice about their own tax affairs.

No special guidance has been given. Ministers have the same rights as other taxpayers to receive assistance from the Inland Revenue in relation to their own tax affairs.
