asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer to which taxpayers the explanatory note Cyllid Y Wlad Treth Incwm, ref 510 (1987), has been issued; how many have been issued; and at what cost.

[pursuant to his reply, 29 April, 1987, c. 162]: Inland Revenue form 510 gives in Welsh a brief summary of the main personal allowances and of expenses that may be claimed and explains that a tax return in Welsh is available on request. The form is sent with personal tax returns to taxpayers whose affairs are dealt with by tax offices in Wales and is also issued by those offices as required throughout the year.An estimated 250,000 forms have been issued with tax returns this April. The cost for the year is £2,639.
