asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he has any plans to alter the Government's support for the boarding school allowance; and if he will make a statement.

Boarding school allowance continues to be justified by the need to help Service parents to provide a stable education for their children. As with other allowances, the rate is subject to review from time to time.
