asked the Prime Minister what is her practice in relation to answering parliamentary questions about security matters which occurred under previous Administrations; and if she will make a statement.

I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Linlithgow (Mr. Dalyell) on 10 February at column 161, and to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Newcastle upon Tyne, East (Mr. Brown) on 28 April at column 160.

asked the Prime Minister by what authority her press secretary briefed the media about the scope and nature of the 1977 inquiries into the alleged activities of the security services in relation to the Government headed by Lord Wilson of Riveaulx; and if she will make a statement.
