Mr. John Browne, supported by Mr. Harry Cohen. Mr. A. J. Beith, Sir Bernard Braine, Mr. Churchill, Mr. John Hannam, Mr. Charles Kennedy, Mr. Sydney Chapman, Mr. Eric Forth, Mr. Brian Sedgemore, Emma Nicholson and Mr. Hugh Dykes, presented a Bill to enable a court to disqualify a person from having custody of an animal on a first conviction of cruelty; and to increase the penalties for offences relating to animal fights in England and Wales and to penalise attendance at such fights in Scotland: And the same was read the First time: and ordered to be read a Second time upon Friday 11 December and to be printed.
