To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if the special arrangements made for right hon. and hon. Members to visit prisoners apply also to members of their staff or other persons who may wish to accompany them; and if he will make a statement.

The arrangements in question are personal to hon. and right hon. Members and to peers, and will only be extended to members of their staff or anyone else if the responsible Minister is satisfied that exceptional circumstances make it right to do so.
