To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he is satisfied with the arrangements for cooperation between the Army in Northern Ireland and the Royal Ulster Constabulary.

Yes. The role of the Army in Northern Ireland is to support the RUC in the defeat of terrorism. There is constant and close co-operation between the two forces at all levels of command.
