To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what precise stage the deployment of cruise missiles has reached at RAF Molesworth; for how long it is intended that the base shall be operational for the missiles after the signing of the intermediate-range nuclear forces agreement; and if he will make a statement.

Only one operational flight of cruise missiles has been deployed to RAF Molesworth. Details of the missile run-down in individual countries are still being discussed within NATO, but it is expected that the missiles at RAF Molesworth will be among the first weapons on the NATO side to be withdrawn following the entry into force of the INF treaty.
