To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will make a statement on the latest situation regarding the unlawful killing in Spain of Petty Officer John Black, Royal Navy, following the meetings between the Under-Secretary of State, the hon. Member for Kettering (Mr. Freeman) and the hon. Member for Rutland and Melton about this matter.

Officers from the Metropolitan police force travelled to Spain last month in continuation of their investigation into the death of Petty Officer Black. They have now returned. A report of their visit has not yet been received.
