Army Officers (Restraint)

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what guidance is issued by his Department on the circumstances which would necessitate the forcible restraint of an Army officer when travelling to hospital.

Guidelines are contained in the publication "Regulations for the Army Medical Service." These take account of the possible reaction of the patient to travel and the type of transport td be used.
