To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, pursuant to the answer of 7 December, Official Report, column 7, if he will give details of the various conservation requirements at the times fisheries licences were awarded for the Falkland Islands conservation zone.

The conservation requirements of the fishery, which are determined by the Falkland Islands Government's scientific advisers, the renewable resources assessment group at Imperial college, are the regulation of fishing effort and the preservation of fish stocks to ensure the continued viability of the fishery.
