Military Aircraft (Stornoway)

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence for what purpose military aircraft deployed to Royal Air Force Stornoway conduct run and break manoeuvres over built-up areas immediately prior to landing.

Military aircraft landing at RAF Stornoway do not normally overfly the main built-up area in the vicinity and follow standard RAF flying procedures in the interests of safety and fuel economy.
