To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what increase of staff there has been in the number of officials employed by the Western health and social services board over the last three years and the present year, or financial year, to date; what grades have been increased in number and by how many in each grade; what has been the annual cost of such increases in staff; and what were the precise reasons for each increase.

The detailed information required could only be obtained at disproportionate cost. The information which is readily available is given in the table.
