To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what specific steps have been taken by his Department following the consultation on a possible new Welsh Language Bill; what has been the outcome of any further discussions undertaken by his Department on this matter; what further steps he intends to take; and if he will make a statement.

I refer the hon. Gentleman to the reply I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Delyn (Mr. Raffan) on 10 December at column 215.
