Torchlight X, which was held in April 1986, was the most recent of a series of biennial conferences on military home defence matters. The audience comprised mainly military staffs and officials from MOD; the police and officials from other Government Departments with an interest in home defence were also represented. Ministers from MOD, the Home Office and other Government Departments also attended. Details of the conference agenda and discussions are classified.
