To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, pursuant to his reply, Official Report, column 1194, 19 November, to the hon. Member for Kirkcaldy (Dr. Moonie), what conclusions he has reached on the need to take action in relation to fish and shellfish quality, water quality, conditions at sea disposal sites, and the effect of contaminants in relation to the North sea.

At the international conference on 24–25 November, North sea Ministers agreed on a range of measures to protect the North sea. These were listed by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment in reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Banbury (Mr. Baldry) on 30 November at column 416–7.
