To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what temperatures were recorded at Turnhouse in the week ended 17 December for the purposes of calculating eligibility for severe weather payments.

The Department receives information from the Meteorological Office in respect of fixed seven-day periods beginning each Monday. The latest week for which we have received temperature data is week ending 13 December. The information for Edinburgh airport (Turnhouse) is as follows:
