To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will allocate extra cash to Clwyd health authority to avert ward closures at Lluesty hospital, Holywell.

It is for the management of Clwyd health authority to provide the most effective service within the resources provided. Any proposal for a substantial permanent variation in service at Lluesty hospital would be subject to the usual consultation arrangements.
