To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what estimate he has as to the amount of Government, European Community and other sources of finance and assistance made available for agriculture in (a) Wales and (b) Dyfed, in each of the last three years for which figures are available.

Agricultural grants and subsidies paid in Wales in each of the past three financial years are estimated as follows:

Note: These figures exclude some items of expenditure which benefit farmers, such as expenditures on animal disease, research, advice and education.

Corresponding figures are not readily available for Dyfed.
