To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list all his economic advisers who are paid from public funds.

My chief economic adviser is Dr. R. G. L. McCrone, secretary, Scottish Development Department, who is supported by a staff of 22 economists. In addition, I receive advice from my advisory panel of economic consultants drawn from economists working in the Scottish universities which meets on average some two or three times a year.
