Rating Revaluations

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment for how long owners or occupiers will have a right of appeal against the revaluation of their property under regulations governing the revaluation of business and commercial property in conjunction with the reform of local government finance.

We have published a proposal to limit the time for lodging appeals against the new valuation list to six months. We are still considering the responses to that, and to a number of other proposals, and hope to make a statement shortly.
