To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what investigations were undertaken by the Northern Ireland Department of Agriculture into the potential effects on the livelihood of local farmers of the establishment of a military shooting range at Bruslee, Newtownabbey, Co. Antrim.

None. I understand that it would have been for the local council, from which the land was leased, to take account of local issues relating to the project.
