To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will use his powers to call in the plans for redevelopment of the site of the former Charity Commissioners building in Ryder street, SW1; and whether he will inquire into the reasons why certain residents and business ratepayers were not informed of these projected developments.

Planning permission for this development was granted on 26 November 1987 by Westminster city council, as local planning authority. It is therefore no longer open to my right hon. Friend to call in the planning application.
