To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list, for Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, how many pensioner households he estimates to be eligible for exceptionally severe weather payments.

[holding answer 14 December 1987]: The number of pensioner householders aged 65 or over in the United Kingdom who are eligible for exceptionally cold weather payments is as follows:
