To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment he has made of the adequacy of bus services to the public in the Greater London area.

It is for London Regional Transport to assess what levels of bus services are adequate in accordance with its statutory duty to secure the provision of public transport services having regard to transport needs in London. LRT plans to improve the overall level of service operated in the coming year.
