To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he has any plans to meet the chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority to discuss civil aviation policy.

My right hon. Friend frequently meets the chairman of the Authority to discuss issues of mutual interest.

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether he intends to amend his policy on civil aviation, in the light of the purchase of British Caledonian by British Airways.

I refer the hon. Member to the reply my right hon. Friend gave earlier today to the hon. Member for Bristol, South (Ms. Primarolo).

My right hon. Friend has no plans to meet the chairman of British Airways at the moment.
